Set in the heart of the Vézère valley, Le Conquil is a journey through time. Visitors to this exceptional site travel through thousands of years of history, from the first humans to the end of the Middle Ages. The troglodytic cliffs that line the trail bear witness to an ancient and fascinating human occupation. These natural shelters, carved out of the rock, are gradually revealing their secrets thanks to archaeological digs being carried out on site. Every year, new discoveries add to our understanding of the life of the cliff dwellers in this emblematic region of Périgord.
